New Fashion Designer Competition
WHAT IS THE NEW FASHION DESIGNER COMPETITION ?
The New Fashion Designer competition is the world’s largest fashion design competition to search for up and coming designers. Organised by the World Fashion Academy (producer of the World Fashion Awards), the competition aims at giving an opportunity for emerging fashion designers around the world.
WHO CAN APPLY?
You can apply if you meet all of the following criteria:
- Aged 18 years or over as of application closing date of 14 May 2023.
- Hold a valid ID/passport/visa/residence permit in your country of residence.
- Have less than two years’ professional fashion design experience* and/or are a fashion student in any year at an educational institution at the time of application.
- Are applying as an individual (group applications are not permitted).
WHAT IS THE COMPETITION DESIGN BRIEF
DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO SET TRENDS FOR OTHERS TO FOLLOW?
You are challenged to design a womenswear, menswear, or unisex.
What to do now?
- Create three ready-to-wear outfit sketches.
- Send a picture of your outfits and your entry letter on why you would like to be one of our 10 finalists.
