The 15th edition of the National Film Festival (NFI) took place from  July 7 – 14, 2016 at the Porchester in London, the home of National Film Festival. The festival saw thousands of cinema-goers, actors, directors, producers, writers and industry experts descend on London to enjoy the world’s best films in one of the world’s premiere locations.

Every year National Film Festival presents new and exciting independent cinema from across the world and beyond, introducing audiences to fresh new talent and original and distinctive filmmaking. Selected films and nominees from the National Film Awards are also showcased to audiences who also take part in several conferences, seminars and workshops.

The 15th edition showcased 107 feature films, shorts and documentaries from 14 countries, including 7 world and international premieres and 23 NFA premieres. The films, crafted in more than 14 languages.

Last year National Film Festival was included in Luxury Weekly magazine’s list of the world’s top 15 film festivals for the fifth year running, reaffirming its status as a leading international film festival and a hub for filmmaking in the region. National Film Festival earned its spot on the magazine’s hot list as a platform to discover and the network with the best most exciting new talent in the movie industry
